On the afternoon of February 16, the "Alipay Public Welfare Platform Partner Long-term Project Exchange Meeting" was held in the conference room of the Foundation. The Secretary General of the Foundation Li Jiahui attended the meeting, and the Deputy Secretary General Wang Feixiang presided over the meeting.

1. Building A Dream, Helping Students One-on-One

The project team and local volunteers visited some of the assisted students in Chongqing. The volunteers visited the students one by one to learn about their life and study, and asked them about their study plan in the winter vacation. They encouraged the children to continue to work hard in the new semester, and set a goal for themselves -- only by Knowledge can they change their fate.

At the beginning of the semester, the project team, together with volunteers from Hong 'an County, visited some orphans. During the visit, we learned that most of them were left-behind children or de facto orphan. The volunteers learned about the children's homework and family conditions during the holidays. In the next step, the project team will provide targeted assistance according to the actual needs of the children.

3. Financial Aid Program for Students in Distress

After verifying the financial aid application forms of 5 students in distress in Bazhong City, the project team staff sorted out their personal account information, and communicated with the bank staff to allocate the financial aid. At present, all the 5 students in need have received the funds. Local volunteers will collect the learning and living conditions of the students recently and timely feedback to the project team.

4. Equip the village schools with the smart classrooms

In February, in terms of project implementation, the project team communicated with the teachers in charge of the applying school to learn about the number of students and the arrangement of teachers in the school in the new semester. At the same time, the material inquiry for the New Year was made, high-quality suppliers were selected, and the project implementation arrangement for the spring semester was discussed. The project implementation planning schedule was determined according to the application area, material delivery arrangement and project personnel arrangement. Projects are expected to be implemented in March and April.

1. Sanitary Water for Children in Mountains

The project team made the 2023 project planning, and the staff held in-depth discussions in terms of fundraising and project operation, etc., and planed to visit schools with water quality problems in remote mountainous areas, evaluate the schools according to the situation, install drinking water equipment for them, and improve the quality of drinking water for teachers and students in school. At the same time, the staff will visit the funded schools for their feedback after using drinking water equipment.

2.Cleaning Kits for Dream Building Children

The volunteers visited the schools and found that some children had already returned to school. The school is a boarding school and it was a few days left for school, while the students who are far away from the school had returned one after another. The senior students began to clean their bed sheets, quilt covers, clothes and shoes, etc., to prepare for the new semester.

3.Washing Kits for Village Children

To help students develop good hygiene habits and enhance their health awareness, the project team distributed 869 washing kits to the students of Wanyan Primary School in Banqiao Town, Yuexi County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture on February 15th, better cultivating children's personal hygiene habits.

The fertilizer mainly consists of 40% organic manure, 30% chicken manure, 25% cow manure and 5% compound fertilizer, laying a good foundation for the increase of income and production this year.

Instructors of the project team discussed the implementation plan after the beginning of the semester. At present, the proposed implementation sites are Pingchang County, Bazhong City, Gulin County and Xuyong County, Luzhou City, Dege County and Ganzi Prefecture. From January 30th to February 5th, the 9th camp activity was held in Gamber Branch, Central School, Baiguo Township, Zhongjiang County, Sichuan Province. A total of 81 students of Grade 6 participated in this activity. In these 7 days, students have participated in life education, child sex education, school bullying and patriotic theme education, the 12 km field training, frustration training, team building and debate competition, etc..

According to the previous development of the project, the project team has actively contacted universities this month, and recruited volunteers for psychology and literature majors on the basis of previous recruitment. Currently, it has communicated with several universities for recruitment, and is also looking for schools with the intention to communicate with the project. Accompanied and introduced by the school teachers, the project team had a deep understanding of the opening and operation of the school center. During the visit, the project team learned that the activity room, workshop, book corner, wall posters, tables and chairs and other facilities were effectively used to provide more recreational activities for students in their spare time, which were very popular among students. At the same time, the center will carry out group psychological counseling and case counseling services on a regular basis, and carry out a series of psychological counseling for students in need of help.

2.Let Village Kids Have a Painting Dream

The project team went to Pengzhen Primary School to learn about the school's development of painting supplies and courses. The team learned that the school had sufficient painting supplies at present, and the school was actively organizing painting courses for interested children to cultivate their interest in painting. Next,the team will continue to visit and select schools that meet the requirements of the project.

3.Keep guard of the dreams of the left-behind children

The project team and enthusiastic volunteers carried out offline publicity activities in the community. The volunteers raised fund by selling idle items at home, handmade works, sugar paintings and other items, and sent some New Year goods and stationery to the left-behind children in mountainous areas, hoping that the left-behind children can feel warm during the New Year.

The project team checked the materials and data submitted by the assisted schools one by one and filed them; Subsequently, the team analyzed and summarized the deficiencies and relevant suggestions in the implementation of the project in each school, and made the implementation plan for the new semester. In the next step, the project team will carry out the project work strictly as planned and orderly.

5.Colorful Holidays for Left-behind Children

On chilly days in spring, 7 volunteer teams of college students went to Mianyang, Luzhou and other places in Sichuan Province to carry out the 7-day rural winter camp activities with full enthusiasm. They accompanied the local left-behind children to spend a happy and warm winter holiday by reading, playing games and doing crafts. In the next step, volunteers will continue to follow the children's daily life and carefully accompany their healthy growth.

5. Starry Sky- Book Ocean Science Innovation Program

In early February, the project team held a project planning meeting on the Starry Sky- Book Ocean Science Innovation Program. At the meeting, the team reported the needs related to the project visit and information collection in 2022, and made the following implementation plan based on the project fundraising situation. In the next step, the project team will subdivide the book list purchased and the lecturers' teaching content, and promote the work of the project strictly according to the plan.

7.Water Heater for Village Students

In early February, local volunteers visited Chaya School where there were no resident students . One water heater was placed in the toilet for students from poor families and their parents to use . Another water heater was placed beside the toilet of the kindergarten for students to wash their hands. After learning that the water heater of the school can still be used normally, the volunteer recorded the information collected, and will conduct comprehensive research and judgment in the future.

We learned that there were more than 500 students in the school, some of whose parents work at home, and some go out for work. Students in this school lack knowledge of disaster reduction. In the next step, the project team will conduct comprehensive research and judgment on the information collected.

1.Caring for the Elderly Left behind in Rural Areas

On February 23, the Foundation went to Xuyong County to carry out a visit the elderly funded in the project "Caring for the elderly left behind in rural areas". The project team visited the elderly recipients in their homes, chatted with them, asked them about their physical conditions and living conditions in detail, told them to keep warm in the changing weather, and sent them condolence money.

2. Caring for the Disabled People in Distress

The project team, together with volunteers, carried out the Spring Festival condolence and psychological counseling activities for some disabled people in difficulties. At the same time, the project team carried out aging modification according to the families of disabled people . By this activity, the mental pressure of some disabled people was relieved, and we made the daily life of some disabled people convenient.

3. Helping Sanitation Workers One-on-One

The project team, together with local volunteers, visited some poor sanitation workers in Hanyuan County, Ya 'an, learning about their working and living conditions, and told them to keep health. Next, the project team will evaluate the information collected and review the personal data of sanitation workers to ensure that the funds can improve their lives.

4. Caring Action for Disabled People

The project team commissioned volunteers from Ningxia, Henan and other places to visit some of the disabled elderly and children. The volunteers went into the house to learn about the physical condition of the disabled elderly, the learning condition of the children and their living conditions. Then the volunteers gave guidance to the children and help clean the elderly people's hygiene. Next, the project team will provide assistance according to the actual needs.

5. Healthy Lunch for the Elderly

In early February, the project team, together with the staff of the local community rehabilitation service station for mental disorders, carried out household publicity and visits to 15 elderly people with mental disorders in the area collecting relevant needs from themselves and their guardians. In the next step, the project team will screen the collected needs and continue to pay attention to their lives.

In February, the Foundation and its partners actively carried out various activities, including 10 visits and surveys and 8 public welfare activities in the form of online and offline coordination, visiting the disabled, the elderly in need, students in need, left-behind children and other vulnerable groups in society, collecting the needs of the service groups and constantly improving the public welfare projects.
